The advice was given by Mrs. Abimbola Bolarinwa Ajayi, the President Mothers’ Union and Women’s Guild of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Ekiti Diocese, in her address at the 46th Women’s Guild Conference, which took place at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Oke’kere, Ikere Ekiti.

The conference with the theme; ‘Beautiful is God’s time’ Eccl 3:11, was hosted by Ikere, Uro and Odo Oja Asidikinri.

“it is our duty to pray, pray for Nigeria together, for our President and the businessmen at all levels It is appropriate to say every day that GOD BLESS NIGERIA rather than saying an unworthy language! Do not associate with bad people to do evil. Many times we are too quick to look at the top, but we overlook the bottom. If you spend extra money unnecessarily on the market at a time like this when many people in the area cannot buy in the market, it is not good enough.

“ We will try to take advantage of this time to make people happy. Indeed, many are doing wrong; Christians should be different. We must show that we are the wisdom of the world. He did not refuse to give to the needy: what shows that we belong to God is giving. This is an important time in Nigeria. We talked about how we ended up with each other no matter how small it is. The government will not fix everything”, she said.

Mama Ekiti said we are in a desperate situation in our country, pointing out that the rich and the poor are feeling the heat of the great heartlessness in our country .
” We think we have defeated kidnapping and murder, but there we are again. We feel that we have defeated many times but he is right in front of us again. We think that we have overcome unemployment but we are still there. We think we have overcome hunger, but most of the families cannot eat twice a day. We are in a situation where going to the market is very difficult for us because what you bought yesterday may not be worth the same today.

“ Ojo Ade sang a few years ago and asked, “who can save us if Jesus doesn’t save us in Nigeria. Without lying, this song suits our time. It should be noted that what we are currently talking about is the result of removing the oil subsidy. It seems we are at a crossroads. Is there hope or escape for us? This is the question that comes to the mind of many children”, she added.

The president said there is no doubt that God is there for us; poverty is still with us and that we should not forget His promise in Isaiah 43:2 “when you cross the river, I will be with you; and when you cross the river, they will not cover you. When you pass through the fire, the fire will not burn you.”

“Our courage is based on the words we write and the words we say; which I do for the Almighty God, therefore, we will not be afraid of what may happen. Therefore, We praise God for taking care of us as we are human beings”
