Heritagenewsng reports that the chief operating officer (COO) of the Nigeria National League(NNL) Mr Emmanuel Adesanya has said no crowd will be allowed into any of the venues for tomorrow’s matches that will be decided simultaneously being the day for the last round of matches in the 2021 league.
In a telephone chat with EUfc Media, Mr Adesanya said the convergence of crowd at sporting arenas will contravene the directive of the Federal government, Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria Football Federation and the Nigeria National League which prohibits assembly of crowd.
While expressing appreciation to the teeming fans of all the football clubs in the NNL in the outgoing season, the chief operating officer urged them to endure and watch their beloved teams via dedicated online platforms in the comfort of their homes.
He noted that the latest directive nullifies the earlier report that stated that one thousand fans would be allowed into each of the stadia.
He also informed that the latest position of the NNL was in the best interest of the various teams especially those in contention for super 8 and those in precarious situations as all forms of desperation on the path of fans and club management could be checked where there is no crowd.
Mr Adesanya who thanked all the teams that campaigned in the NNL 2021 for their cooperation with laid down rules also wished all of them well as curtains fall on the NNL Southern Conference B1 group tomorrow Sunday August 22 across the country.
