The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro, sought prayers for the success of Governor Oyebanji’s administration during the breaking of the Ramadan fast with Muslim faithful on Saturday.
Mrs. Adubiaro, in her remarks, commended the state governor for his significant strides and for providing more opportunities for Muslims to serve in his administration. She hailed the improved treatment of Muslims under Governor Oyebanji’s administration as unprecedented since the state’s creation.
The SSG emphasized that the best way to reciprocate the governor’s kindness is for Muslims in the state to pray for his success in office during this fasting period.
Taking advantage of the iftar gathering, she highlighted the benefits enjoyed by Muslims through her office in the past year and urged Muslims to show genuine love to one another, adhering to the will of Allah.
“To be honest, this administration is truly dedicated to advancing the state. Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s government has not only developed the state but has also been favorable to Muslims in political appointments. We now have more Muslims as state Exco members, a first in previous administrations.”
“When someone does good, it’s only fair to reciprocate. We can best appreciate the governor’s warmth towards us by remembering him in our prayers, especially during Ramadan.”
Earlier, the state Coordinator of NACOMYO, Alhaji Mudashiru Yusuf, praised the SSG for consistently safeguarding the interests of Islam and urged her to continue. He also commended the state governor for fulfilling his promises and prayed for his continued success.
The iftar, hosted by the SSG, took place at the Osuntokun Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti, and was attended by religious leaders, including the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Ekiti State, Alhaji Hammed Bakare, NACOMYO State Coordinator Alhaji Mudashiru Yusuf, Zonal Amiru of NASFAT, Alhaji Kamorudeen Oluwatoki, Ekiti State Amirah of FOMWAN, Alhaja Rashidat Jimoh, and top government officials.
