The Government of Ekiti State under the able leadership of His Excellency, Biodun Oyebanji has restated its commitment to rural development.
This was made known by the Special Adviser(S.A) to the Governor on Rural mobilization, Chief(Mrs) Oluremi Babington when she led her team which included some political appointees of the Governor on familiarization visit to Fatunla farmstead, Kajola LCDA, Ijesha Isu and Aso Ayegunle farmstead in Ado-Ekiti local government on Tuesday.
Mrs Babington in her remarks to the country-dwellers said that the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji will continue to prioritize the welfare of people living in the rural areas by providing them with basic amenities that will make life more comfortable for them.
She noted that the present administration knowing the vital role being played by people in the rural area especially in area of farming has designed many programmes to cater for their needs. She added that the Governor within a short period of assuming office has executed many laudable projects.
“One of the reasons we are here today is to familiarize ourselves with you and inquire about your basic needs in line with the task assigned us by our Principal, the Governor.
“I want you to know that this present administration is committed to priotizing your welfare. All necessary basic amenities that will make life more comfortable for you will be provided”
Among the team of the Special Adviser on visitation to the farmsteads were the Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to the Governor on Special outreach, Hon. Francis Akinlabi, the SSA on Rural mobilization, Hon. Yemi Afolabi, the SA on rural mobilization, Hon. Ayoola Ademola and SA on Community Mobilization.
During the cause of their visitation, bags of maize and cash were given to the rural dwellers as palliatives from the state government. The rural dwellers who could not hide their excitement showed their appreciation for the kind gestures and prayed for the success of Gov. Biodun Oyebanji’s administration.
