Just In! Car Theft: Suspects Arrested In Ekiti During The Act
Two-aged men were today arrested by the Security outfit of Ekiti State University, EKSU, Ado-Ekiti while attempting to allegedly steal a vehicle inside the campus.
The suspects were reported to have drove a car into the premises of the University to perpetrate the evil act.
According to reports, while they were trying to open the door of the car intended to steal, they were seen through the CCTV by the Security officers which led to their arrest.
When contacted, one of the staff of the University said the suspects had been handed over to the police for further action.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the Ekiti State Police Command, Mr Sunday Abutu confirmed that the suspects have been handed to officers of the command to ascertain the level of their involvement in the act and other cases of car theft within and outside the institution.
