Sequel to the 10,000 bags of maize palliatives distributed to Livestock Farmers by the Biodun Oyebanji led administration last week, the Poultry Association of Nigeria (Ekiti state Chapter) have announced a slight decrease in product prices, aiming to ensure a tangible impact on end-users.
The announcement of the price review was contained in a letter signed by the Association’s Chairman, Mr Alonge Oluwasetemi which was obtained online by our correspondent.
Read the full statement below;
“As a function of the free maize injected into our industry, we urge beneficiaries to observe a downward review of their prices for the period while stock lasts.
“Local feed should note also.
“The palliatives gesture must be felt by the end users.
“We are looking at an average of 10% discount on eggs, chicken and feed which will bring egg down averagely to:
1. 2900/3000 at farmgate, from 3100/3300
2. Chicken at 2700 per kg from 2900/3300
3. Layers mash at 11000/11500 per bag from 12500
“All ranges of locally milled feeds should have a minimum discount of 1000 per bag.
“There will be monitoring and non-compliance will disqualify defaulters from future exercise”
