Why I’m Dedicating My Latest Academic Attainment to My Husband-Bola Agbaje

The General Manager, Radio Nigeria, Progress FM, Ado-Ekiti, Dr. Bola Agbaje has explained the reason why she dedicated her recent academic success to her husband, Stephen Agbaje.

The brand new PHD holder in Mass Communication from Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, (ABUAD) who made the disclosure in a chat with Heritage News in Ado Ekiti said after God Almighty, her husband deserves all the appreciations.

She explained that her husband’s impacts in ensuring that she succeeded in her career and academic attainment, most expecially her recently aquired PHD was worth mentioning.

Mrs Agbaje who expressed her sincere appreciation to her husband for his supports, and encouragement for her while she was pursuing the PHD said only few husband can do what her husband did for her.

While appreciating God for the grace to accomplishing the program successfully Mrs Agbaje noted that it was God that crown her success, but it was not without her husband’s supports.

“I give God all the glory. I thank God Almighty for giving me grace, not many people who started a race that can complete it, I give God the glory for helping me to complete the race successfully. Yes, it was God that crown my success, but that was not without my caring, loving and understanding husband who gave me all the necessary supports and encouragements.

“He gave me all the needed supports financially and emotionally. All our children are with him in Ibadan and he is taking good care of them. He did that so that I will fully concentrate on my program here in ado ekiti ,Stephen is a totally God sent husband to me. I appreciate him for always watching my back”. Mrs Agbaje declared.

Dr Agbaje therefore tasked journalists especially women on self development especially in the area of academics in order to lay hands on various opportunities across the world.

Agbaje stated that various opportunities are numerous in the profession which could be benefited and achieved through higher qualification. She specifically tasked women journalist not to lay back at equipping themselves with the right educational qualification to remain vibrant and relevant in the profession.

“I want to say our women should develop themselves academically ,we should not turn ourselves to object of pity , that they should pity us, if men can do it, we can do it with the right qualification and commitment.

“Despite all challenges, women should not be tired ,we can do it, there is nothing that can stop us to get anywhere just as men are doing it , women should develop themselves educationally to be able to compete favourably with the men counterpart.

“Journalists all over should emulate what I have done ,development is crucial in the profession, when you further your education, it gives you so many opportunities and you will not be limited.”
