It was a gory sight between Ilupeju and Itapa Ekiti, Oye Local Government as a truck was said to have crushed three persons to death.
Heritage News reliably gathered that two of the victims were siblings.
According to sources, the victims were on a commercial motorcycle coming from Itapa Ekiti before they were ran over by the truck.
The victims were later evacuated from the scene by the Federal Road Safety Corps.
When our Heritage News visited the scene of the accident, residents were seen wailing in sympathy as a result of the fatal accident.
Members of Federal road safety corps, FRSC were seen at scene of the accident carrying corpse of the accident victims to morgue.
Confirming the incident, Olusola Joseph, Sector Commander, FRSC, Ekiti State Sector said “It is true. It involves a bike conveying three persons and a truck. It claimed the lives of the three persons in the bike.
“The bike and the vehicle were coming from opposite directions when the accident occured.
I learnt the truck was descending while the bike was ascending.
“We have not really been able to establish how it really happened.
As I speak, men of the corps are on the way to hospital in Ado Ekiti to deposit the dead bodies in the morgue.”
