Ekiti LG Election:My Victory is not Negotiable- Akinyemi
One of the leading contestants in the forthcoming Local Government election in Ekiti state, who is vying for the Chairmanship position of Ikole Local Government Area, Hon. Oladapo Abiodun Akinyemi declared that with the support of God and entire people of the local government hid victory in the forthcoming election is not negotiable.
He said he is so sure of victory in the forthcoming election. In an interview with Francis Adewumi. In this interview a lot of issues were clarified.
“The bottom line is that we need a vibrant young man to be the next Local Government Chairman.
According to him, needs someone who could make their voice heard at the Local Government, State and the National not just anyhow person.
In his word; “This is what I represent and that’s why my people at home prefer me Oladapo Abiodun Akinyemi to other contestants”. Excerpts:
We have read many things about you online and from your constituents about your political ambition . How has the campaign been so far ?
Thanks my brother, I’m happy you said you have heard about me on the social media handles and my constituents as one of the contestants for the position of Chairman in Ikole local Government of Ekiti State.
That shows I’m not only contesting on the Social media but also known in my Constituency.
Coming to your question . The campaign so far has been interesting as declaration has been made, consultation of who is who has started . The campaign is very very interesting as we doing what we are expected to do.
It has been a learning curve of life for me. As we all know that politics is a school . One keep learning and learning to become a professional.
In added that, he believes everyone has his or her cross to carry as individual and that is why we contributed to societal development differently .
What matters is competency, capacity, experience, capability, trustworthiness and passion to serve the people and exposure. He said all these and more are what qualifies him more than my co- contestants in the race .
He solicits support from the party leadership and the entire party members to give him adequate support to become the next chairman of the council.
Hon Akinyemi promises better and transparent government if elected.
