Meet Newly Appointed Registrar, FCE, Ilawe
A deputy registrar at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Hajia Khadija Wuraola Garba has been appointed as the pioneer registrar of the Federal College of Education, Ilawe, Ekiti State.
The news of Garba’s appointment was contained in a letter dated May 28, 2023 and signed by the permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, Mr Andrew David Adejo.
The statement reads, “ I write to convey to you the approval of Mr President for your appointment as the registrar of the Federal College of Education, Ilawe, Ekiti State.
“The appointment is for a first and initial tenure of five years with effect from May 28, 2023 in line with the Federal College of Education Act.”
Hajia Garba is currently doing a PhD programme in Educational Management at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State.
She bagged her first and master’s degrees in Educational Management at UNILORIN in 2003 and 2011 respectively.
Garba also studied Geography/Social Studies at Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin and graduated in 2000.
The new registrar is a member of many professional organisations, including the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Chartered, Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (IPAN) and Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA).
She was the pioneer faculty officer, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Ilorin (2011- 2015), caretaker III (female), UNILORIN Muslim Community (UMC) (2012-2016) and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences representative, UNILORIN Muslim Ladies Circle (UMLC) (2012-2014).
