Just In! Ekiti Assembly Temporarily Suspends Screening of Commissioner-Nominees

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has announced that the screening exercise for commissioner-nominees has been temporarily suspended.

A statement by the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Babatunde Oke stated that the suspension of the screening exercise was to allow for urgent legislative duties and Committee assignments.

The Chairman stated that the Assembly is committed to conducting a thorough and fair assessment of all commissioner nominees with the interests of the people and the state at the forefront.

Hon. Oke while noting that the House during it’s last plenary on Thursday adjourned sine die, promised that stakeholders involved and the general public will be duly informed of the resumption of the screening process once all necessary considerations have been made.
