If A Pastor Marries Second Wife When His First Wife Is Still Alive…- Pastor Kumuyi

During a recent Tuesday Leadership Development Service, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, addressed his members on the topic of “Constantly Abiding On The Lord’s Side.” One of the subtopics he discussed was “The Perversive Corruption Of The Lord’s Standard.”

In one of his subtopics, he spoke about, “The Perversive Corruption Of The Lord’s Standard” and spoke against pervasive sin which could cause corruption.

He said, “If a pastor decides to change the standard and make things easier for the congregation by mutilating and modifying the word of God, it becomes a sin to him.

A pastor’s sin is a pervasive sin. If he marries a second wife when the first wife is still alive, or he becomes fraudulent, the church members would follow suit.”

Pastor Kumuyi emphasized the danger of pervasive sin, which can lead to corruption. He warned against pastors who change the standard of the word of God to make things easier for the congregation. He stated that such actions are sinful and can have far-reaching consequences.

Finally, he said, “Corruption is evil and ends in eternal destruction, devastation and damnation. That is why the Lord is warning us to desist from it, and He is saying whoever is on His side should come to Him.

Since the time of Exodus, it continued to the end of the Old Testament. It started on a small scale and continued until many people turned away from the ways of God. They are still religious but not worshipping the living God.

According to Pastor Kumuyi, a pastor’s sin is a pervasive sin. If a pastor marries a second wife while the first wife is still alive or becomes fraudulent, the church members are likely to follow suit. He urged pastors to uphold the Lord’s standard and avoid any actions that could lead to corruption.
