The Ekiti State House of Assembly will on Wednesday, 31st of May, 2023 hold a special plenary to honour the late former deputy governor of the state, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi.
Egbeyemi who was the Deputy to the immediate past Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi between 2018 and 2022, died last month at the age of 79.
A statement by the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, stated that the plenary session is in honour of the late Egbeyemi for his remarkable contributions to the growth of legislature and executive arms of government as well as the overall development of the state.
Aribasoye added that the special session will hold at the hallowed chamber of the Assembly Complex at 12 noon.
The assembly charged members of the State Executive Council, past and present lawmakers, family and friends of the departed soul, and the general public are expected to attend the session.
