Alawe Hails FG Over Comprehensive Renovation of St. Theresa’s Community Hospital

The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, AFUNTADE 1, has hailed the Federal Government for the comprehensive renovation of the St Theresa’s Community hospital, Ilawe Ekiti.

The Oba In statement signed by Special Adviser on Media to Alawe, High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi also expressed appreciation for the provision and installation of the state of the art medical equipment in the hospital by the Federal government through the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals SDGs .

Oba Alabi spoke at the commissioning of the project by the Senior Special Assistant to President Mohammadu Buhari on Sustainable Development Goals SDGs. Mrs Adejoke Orelope Adefulire on Saturday, 20th May, 2023.

At the occasion attended by eminent personalities including Mr Femi Falana SAN who facilitated the project, the Alawe urged the Federal government to further take the necessary steps to put the hospital in use for the benefit of the community stressing that with the hospital and the facilities provided the people in the area and the adjoining communities might not need to travel anywhere to get medical attention.

The frontline Oba praised Barrister Femi Falana SAN,for his efforts in facilitating the rehabilitation of the hospital while commending the Catholic church and the entire people of Ilawe for their cooperation.

Commissioning the project, the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on SDGs, Mrs Adejoke Orelope Adefulire hinted that the federal government would still provide equipment on optometry and dentistry for the hospital to make the hospital one of the best Medical Centers in Ekiti. She promised the involvement of the Federal government in the administration of the hospital.

In his remarks at the occasion, Mr Femi Falana SAN noted that the project was huge and would need further support and administration of the Federal government.He commended the efforts of the Catholic church, the entire Ilawe Community and the Alawe of Ilawe Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi for making the project a reality. Barrister Falana paid Special tribute to Mrs Orelope Adefulire for her tenacity and support in executing the project. Dignitaries at occasion included the wife of Alawe,Olori Abimbola Alabi, the member representing Ekiti South West constituency 1 in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon Yemisi Ayokunle , the Chairman of Ekiti South West local government,Hon, Richard Apolola, the Catholic community President of Ilawe Improvement Union ,Engr Akin Abereowo and traditional Chiefs .
