‘I Shed Tears when I Paid Unscheduled Visit To Ekiti School For The Blind’- Gov Oyebanji

The executive Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has revealed he was emotional  when he visited the Special School for the Blind in Ikere Ekiti.

Governor Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress, who won Ekiti governorship election in 2022 by defeating other strong contenders including former Governor of Ekiti State, Segun Oni of the Social Democratic Party recently celebrated his 200 days in office as the Governor of the southwestern state.

He said; “I paid an unscheduled visit to the Special School for the Blind in Ikere Ekiti, earlier today. During my visit, I had an on- the- spot assessment of facilities in the school as well the welfare of the students in the school.

“I also had productive discussions with the school management and we explored ways to further support the school and the students.”

The Governor of Ekiti State added; “It is crucial that we continue to prioritize and invest in the education of citizens with special needs and ensuring that every opportunity is available to them so they can thrive and fully realize their potentials.”
