Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) , Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina has felicitated with all staff and students of the upwardly mobile institution, urging them to be more dedicated and conmitted to duty and their educational carreer respectively.

A May 1 Workers’ Day message, e-signed by the VC and for the University Community, reads in part: “Today is the International Labour Day, coined as Workers’ Day here in Nigeria. On this special day for all workers, I wish to specially recognize and appreciate all FUOYE workers both part-time and full time for your hard work, contributions, commitment and continuous sacrifice towards the growth and realization of a new FUOYE, where excellence is our watchword.

There’s dignity in labour and work is the rung on which human dignity and creative greatness can be manifested. I therefore, encourage all FUOYE workers to diligently give the best and enjoy a good rest.

I remain committed to building a new FUOYE where all workers shall be duly renumerated for their work and commitments.

Finally, I enjoin all workers to work and walk in love, unity without discrimination, envy or hatred, only in love can we realize our dream – FUOYE OF EXCELLENCE.
Happy Workers Day.
