Ekiti monarchs, Indigenes Applaud Opeyemi David Falegan ‘s projects,
Monarchs and indigenous persons of Ekiti state have commended the efforts of Honorable Opeyemi David Falegan, the founder of ODF foundation for his philanthropic tasks across the state .
The EWI of Ado- EkITI in Ekiti State, His Royal Majesty Oba Rufus Aladesanmi Adejuyigbe on behalf of the Obas applauded Hon. Falegan on his outstanding activities across the state towards improving the standard of living of people across the state.
While sending their appreciation and prayers of prosperity to the Founder in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, the King further affirmed that Hon. Falegan is an individual with a golden heart , who has the love and best interest of his people at heart, a man who truly deserves more honor and respect in the society.
Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan through the ODF foundation has been able to put smiles on the faces of many people in Ekiti State with his exceptional schemes highlighted as follows:
A. Borehole project in the state:
The ODF foundation commissioned some borehole projects in the state to the glory of God and benefit of mankind. Addressing the people during one of the various commissioning, Hon. Opeyemi said he discovered there was no adequate water supply in some strategic places within the state which in turn brought avoidable hardship to the communities hence his determination to make the essential element accessible. In his words, water is life and whoever gives water gives life.
B. Market women empowerment:
Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan visited and empowered small scale market women across Ekiti State. He took it upon himself to support the women financially as he believes women are the bedrock of a progressive society. As the State, the Nation and indeed the world grapples with the devastating impact experienced from the Corona Virus pandemic, it is important to show support and care to the women so that families can be sustained. He was empowering the market women financially because of the economic disaster in the state.
C. ODF distributes free fuel to motorcycle (Okada) riders across the state:
The love and support the motorcycle riders have for Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan and indeed the ODF foundation cannot be overemphasized hence it is only imperative that the support is repaid as the ODF foundation distributed free fuel to motorcycle (Okada) riders within Ekiti state. So far, over 5000 riders have benefited from this project.
D. Visitation to the Council of Kings in Ekiti State:
As a good son of the soil and an individual who is culturally inclined with values, Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan received Royal blessings as he was hosted by the Ekiti council of Oba’s led by Oba Rufus Aladesanmi Adejuyigbe, the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti during his address noted that Hon. Falegan has shown himself as an epitome of greatness and future of Ekiti state, an individual who is worth emulating as his footprint can never be ignored nor forgotten.
“Our prayers are that God of Ekiti land will always be with you, support you, stand by you and provide for you” the council acclaimed.
Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan in his response reaffirmed that “building the state is very important to him as his father fought for the creation and actualization of Ekiti state and so community building should be a collective responsibility. He therefore called on the sons and daughters of the state to come to the aide of the masses especially in these trying period.
E. Attention to the physical challenged:
Hon Opeyemi Falegan has shown love to the physically challenged people in the state through empowerment and skill acquisition. Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan believes there are abilities in disabilities hence empowering them greatly improves the welfare of individuals with disabilities as they are already in a challenging environment.
F. Free UTME forms to Students:
The ODF Foundation prides itself in proclaiming the importance of education and what better way to show it than to provide free UTME/JAMB forms to all intending students within the state. According to the Founder Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan, acquiring education is essential toward societal and nation building.
It is hoped that with these projects, the ODF foundation will continue to improve the welfare and development of Ekiti State.
