The Presidential Campaign Coordinator for Peter Obi / Yusuf Datti in Ekiti State under Labour Party, Moses Jolayemi has boasted that Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi will win if Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC ) ensure free fair and credible election in coming Saturday, February 25, 2023 Presidential election .
The PCC Coordinator gave the assurance at Damlek Event Centre, Ado Ekiti while Fielding questions from Journalists at a town Hall meeting held with labour party agents across Ekiti State.
specifically, Jolayemi said Peter Obi would win the election in a free, fair and credible Election if INEC do not compromise the use of BIVAS .
In his words” If BIVAS is allowed to work, we will have credible, violence free Election, if you look at the configuration of BIVAS from the point of voting, collation and announcing results there is no human intervention,with this, Peter Obi is the next President”
The PCC Coordinator while talking about naira re-design and the cashless policy , he said labour party was in tandem with the Federal Government.
He stressed that the hiccups Nigerians are experiencing on the policy was temporal .Saying it would soon phase out. He however, lampooned the presidential flagbearer of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for condemning the policy that it was targeted at him not to win the election.
Jolayemi said Tinubu had plans to buy votes that was why he was crying wolfs by attacking the CBN governor and his own party(APC) who introduced the policy. He said instead of the backlash, Tinubu and his party supposed to be on their knees begging Nigerians for the sufferings they brought on them .
Jolayemi who boasted that Obi would win landslide, saying Nigerians are tired of the hardships APC brought to the country. He called on Nigerians to vote Peter Obi for new Nigeria.
The Director General of campaign Organisation for Peter Obi/ Yusuf Datti presidential candidate for Labour party, Balogun Akin Osuntokun has assured Nigerians that Peter Obi’s emergence as president would put an end to Nigerans suffering.
The DG gave the assurance at the town hall meeting held at Damlek event centre, Ado Ekiti with the 16 Local Government party agents on Saturday.
Akin Osuntokun enjoined the party agents to intensify mobilization for Peter Obi, saying the presidential candidate of Labour party would frontally combat challenges bedevlinving Nigerans, stressing that insecurity, hunger, scarcity/ high price of fuel per litre, high cost of consumables, strikes, unemployment and others would be tackled.
The Chairman of Labour Party in Ekiti State, Barrister Odunayo Okunade said labour party was about family ( father, mother and chidren). Accounting to him, “labour party has life, so our party would have human face and Nigerans will enjoy dividends of democracy if voted to power. Broom and Umbrella which represent APC and PDP have no life, that was why they run Nigeria aground and put Nigerans in a precarious situations”
Also, the women leader of Labour Party in Ekiti State, Mrs Wendy Obi charged Ekiti people not to be deterred by numerous challenges facing Nigerans, saying they should mobilize and vote for Obi. She added that Nigerans should sow good seeds in next election by voting Peter Obi as president.
She however, reiterated that APC and PDP have destroyed the country by leaving homongous debt for generation yet unborn. Saying Nigerans should vote APC out and allow Labour party rebuild Nigeria .
Mrs Obi said Peter Obi would take the country from consumption to production country. She said that was the new way to go for the betterment of Nigeria.
Also, speaking at the gathering was Balogun Ajayi a candidate for Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2 who Called on Nigerians to vote Obi, saying Obi relinquished his entitlement as a former governor to take care of the masses in Anambra .
Balogun alluded the present problems facing Nigerans to the antic of greedy politicians whose stock in trade was to impoverish Nigerans and buy their votes during election.
He added that East should be given chance to rule Nigeria being the only region that has not produce president for equity sake.
The Presidential Campaign Coordinator in Ekiti, Moses Jolayemi assured the gathering that Obi would put smiles on faces of Nigerans if emerged. He tasked the agents to move from house to house and canvas for the emergence of Obi for a new Nigeria.
Dignitaries at the town hall meeting among others were: National financial Secretary, Gbenga Daramola. Youth leader, Comrade Kola Agbede State Secretary, Adesua, 16 Local government party Chairmen and other executives.
