Ekiti HoS, Body of Permanent Secretaries Donate Cash To Ekiti Special Schools To Mark Oyebanji’s Birthday

The Head of Service, Barrister Dele Agbede and the Ekiti State body of Permanents Secretaries have donated cash gifts for Special Schools in Ekiti to celebrate the birthday of His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi
Oyebanji.

Handing over the cheques to the Special School Principals, the Head of Service, Barrister Bamidele Agbede who was represented at Ikere Ekiti and Ido Ekiti Special Schools by a Director in the Office of
Establishments and Service Matters, Mr.Bartholomew Ariyo, said that the body was there to present the cash gift in accordance with the directives of the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji who

said his birthday well wishers should present the gifts and cash intended for him to the Special Schools in Ekiti State.

At the Government Special School for Students with Physically Challenged and Intellectual Disability School, Ido Ekiti and The Government Special School for the Blind, Ido Ekiti, the Head of Service stated that the Governor’s love and passion for the special students was displayed with his request from his loved ones and admirers to celebrate his 55th birthday by giving the money and material gifts to the schools of the Physically Challenged Schools in
the State.

While handing over the cheques of Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N400,000) to the Principals of the two Schools, he said that the heart and mind of Governor Oyebanji is always with the physically challenged and that they should always be remembered for assistance and display of empathy to give them sense of belonging in the society.

The Head of Service said that the Governor’s directive for those who want to celebrate with him to do so with the special students shows his kindheartedness and the assurance that his recognition for every
strata of the society will make Ekiti people see development in the grassroots, saying, a new dawn has come in Ekiti where every person is important and will be treated as such.

The principals of the two Schools Mr Salami Odunitan and Mrs Bola Amogbonjaye thanked the Governor for the kind directive saying that this was the first time that the Executive Governor will request that
his birthday be celebrated in this manner.

They also lauded the efforts of the State Government over the children with disability, stressed further that Ekiti is number two after Lagos State in the South Western part of Nigeria in taking adequate care of
physically challenged Children.

While appreciating the Head of the service and the body of Permanent Secretaries for the gesture, they equally wished Mr Governor a happy birthday and prosperous life ahead and promised to use the
contributions from the friends of Governor Oyebanji judiciously.

One of the Students, Ajaguna Benjamin commended Governor Oyebanji for
the directive which made friends that should have been going to the Government House to visit him for his birthday to now become the visitors of the physically challenged.

It was a joyful moment for all the physically challenged students and staff members who were dancing singing and full of prayers for Governor Biodun Oyebanji, the Head of Service and the Body of Permanent Secretaries for the Kind gesture.
