How Ekiti Top List of Most Compliant States In Social Intervention Progrms In Nig- Oyebanji’s Adviser Affirmes

The Special Adviser to Governor Oyebanji on Budget, Economic Planning and Performance Management Mr. Niyi Adebayo has explained why he rated Ekiti State as one of the most compliant states in Nigeria with development partners in social intervention programmes.

The Special Adviser who explained this at the last AID Coordination meeting for year 2022 put together by the Multilateral
Relations Department of the Ministry of Budget, Economic Planning and Performance Management at Ibrahim Abacha hall of the old Governor’s
Office, expressed satisfaction with the progress made by all the social intervention projects.

Speaking on the importance of the meeting, Mr. Adebayo said “the essence was to allow the government review the activities of the
current year, identify areas where we have gaps,so that we can fill it and learn from the mistakes made and ,most importantly going forward, to ensure we prepare well for the coming year so that the State can have good results for the benefit of Ekiti people”.

According to the Special Adviser, the Interventions was to help in critical areas of the State ranging from Social impacts, ecology, education, MSEs support among others.

He thereafter emphasized on the social impact assessment of all the projects on Ekiti people and urged the Project Coordinators to provide data that will show the impact of the projects and equally reiterated government commitment in energizing Bureau of Statistics to be able to
perform their duties effectively in providing data for social impact assessments.

Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Mr. Olusesan Alabi appreciated all the Project Coordinators for doing a wonderful job with a call to all of them to relate well with Ministry of Budget which coordinates all multilateral relations in the State .

Present at the meeting included; Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure and Public Utilities, Professor Mobolaji Aluko, PS Ministry of Education, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi, PS Finance, Mr. Babasola
Folorunsho, Director, Multilateral Relations Mrs Bukola Ogunlade, Project Coordinators among others.
