The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr(Mrs) Habibat Omolara Adubiaro has urged the All Progressives Congress(APC) Women party stakeholders in Ado-Ekiti local government to sheathe their sword and embrace peace.
The SSG in her address during a reconcilatory meeting with the Women stakeholders in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday expressed her displeasure over the lingering crisis among them.
Dr. Adubiaro stated further that the only way to justify the efforts of the immediate Ekiti former first lady, Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Fayemi on them and give support to the present first lady, Her Excellency, Dr(Mrs) Olayemi Oyebanji is for the women stakeholders to put an end to the misunderstanding between them so that they can be able to forge ahead.
“I am extremely grateful for honouring me with your presence at this reconcilatory meeting. It is true that there are issues among APC women stakeholders in Ado-Ekiti. But we can not continue in this way if we are to forge ahead.
“Let’s forget our differences and come together as one entity. I am not happy seeing our women stakeholders showing ill feelings to one another. Please sheathe your sword and embrace peace for the progress of our great party”
The SSG also pleaded with the women stakeholders to go back to their various wards and mobilize for the party’s victory in the upcoming general elections.
She stated it clearly at the meeting that the numerical voting strength of women can not be underestimated and assured them that their welfare would be well prioritized by this present administration.
“My distinguished mothers and sisters, I want to use this opportunity to call on you to please go back to your various wards and work for the party’s victory in this upcoming general elections.
“It is a known fact that we constitute a large percentage of eligible voters during election and I want to assure you that this present administration knows our value and strength and it will do everything humanly possible to prioritize our welfare”
Earlier, the All Progressives Congress(APC) party women leader in Ado-Ekiti local government, Mrs Margaret Adelusi commended the SSG for the good step taken by her to reconcile APC women stakeholders in the state capital.
She stated further that this brilliant step has portrayed her as a good leader and urged the women stakeholders to let go their differences for the progress of the party.
