Ado Ekiti based Human Rights Lawyer, Samuel Olakanmi Falade, has described a news about allegations of fraud and arrest of one of his principal partners, Mr Rotimi Olorunfemi and one of his clients, Mr Akinlayo Davison Kolawole as spurious, malicious, scandalous and condemnable, a plan purportedly concocted to smear them for political reason.

Falade also condemned the sponsor of the fake story for allegedly resorting to blackmail by calling to demand for 30m from Akinlayo Davison Kolawole, before he could retract the tales of lies published against him.

The Human Right Lawyer said, “The attention of our law firm has just been drawn to some malicious publications making the round online concerning our principal partner, Mr Rotimi Olorunfemi and one of our clients, Mr Akinlayo Davison Kolawole.

“While our client may be less surprise by this antics of mischieve makers, considering the fact that we are in a political season when political scavengers whose pockets are lined-up with the wads of both local and hard currency of bring-him-down syndrome in the light of his current political  engagements.

“To say the least, it would have been undermining political opponents for our client not to expect some sort of political jab in a toxic political environment as ours.

“Indeed, this kind of character smearing and malicious publication may not have been strange to the political permutation of the electioneering fever already gripping some weaker political oppositions of our client but certainly not with our principal partner, Mr Olorunfemi, whose professional calling does not by any dint of imagination approved of such disparaging and ridiculous publication not just against his firm but also against his person.

“To set the record straight, we made bold to state that our principal partner was never arrested by any law enforcement agency whether in Nigeria or outside the shore of Nigeria for any allegation whatsoever, not even on any concocted fraudulent or shoddy dealings of any sort.

“As a matter of evidence and substantiation of allegation, the proof of the lies of the malicious publishers is contain in the malicious material itself.

“The publishers made no pretence as to what they set out to achieve with said publications which is to respectively malign our client and our principal partner’s characters.

“The spurious allegation of our principal partner arrest early this year is not only vague but an outright falsehood. His alleged “confession” to an imaginary crime is also a concoction of wap minds of people whose minds abhors nothing but mischief, malice and character assassination.

“The publishers of the malicious and scandalous material have rightly and not by imagination of any sort described our client  as realtor (Real Estate Developer/Agent) and an APC candidate for the seat of the representative of Ekiti-North Federal Constituency II of Ekiti State and a striving business mogul with several companies under his chairmanship.

“It must however be categorically stated that the purported allegation by the publishers was but a cooked-up one and a product of the figment of the imagination of some political mischieve makers aimed at distracting our client, using our principal’s good name and public standing to achieve their devilish goals.

“As we categorically debunk and deny every bit of the allegations contained in the mischievous publications which has not been mistaken for its aim of politically blackmailing our client, dragging our principal’s good name to it is the most ridiculous and crime-laden part of their malicious intention.

“We wish to however, assure the masquerading images behind this image tarnishing materials that their days with the law is certainly at hand. The law has aready been set in motion to fish out all the perpetrators of the hineous defamatory act with the aim of causing them to pay dearly for it”. Falade submitted.
