Ekiti State House of Assembly has again appealed to the Federal Government to fix Federal roads in the state.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Rt Hon Funminiyi Afuye made the appeal while reacting to a matter of urgent public importance, raised by the Leader of Government Business, Hon Gboyega Aribisogan at plenary in Ado Ekiti.
Rt Hon Afuye observed that most motorists now plyed hinterland roads to access other neighboring States and these had led to the destruction of some roads constructed by the state Government.
He mentioned the Ado Ekiti- Ikere- Akure Road with the Ikere axis in total bad shape and called on the Federal government to urgently direct its relevant agencies for adeguate intervention.
The Leader of Business, Hon Gboyega Aribisogan had earlier called on the Assembly to call on relevant agencies to fix the Ado- Iluomoba- Ijesa Isu road.
Hon Aribisogan who represents Ikole Constituency I in the House, observed that motorists now suffers passing through the road, with some bad portion areas serving as haven for criminals.
He called for attention on the road to safe motorists the attendant risk and danger occasioned by the bad road.
