Ado Illustrious Son, Bashorun, Bags Distinguished Personality Award From Federal Poly.

An Ado-Ekiti born philanthropist, Bashorun Tope Alabi has been bestowed with an award of ‘Distinguished Personality in Entrepreneurship by the School of Business Studies(SBS), Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti in recognition of his contributions to human and societal development. The award was received on his behalf by Mr Banji Alabi on Tuesday at the school conference hall.

Bashorun, was among the important personalities which include the Chief of Staff to Ekiti State, Mr Tolu Ibitola, the Chief Press Secretary to Ekiti State Governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode, honoured by SBS at her 12th National Conference as part of its 3-day activities.

The Dean of School Business Studies, Dr(Mrs) E.M Olowolaju in her short remark before the presentation of the award to the awardee, said, “The school is delighted to honour an eminent personality who has contributed immensely to human and societal development”

She charged the awardee not to relent in his quest to contribute towards the development of the society.

Mr Banji Alabi on behalf of the awardee thanked the institution for deeming it fit to honour his younger brother with such a pleasurable award which will serve as an encouragement for him to contribute more towards the development of the society.

“On behalf of the awardee who is unavoidably absent, I am thanking the institution for deeming it fit to honour an illustrious son of the soil, Bashorun Tope Alabi for his contributions to human and societal development. We are highly appreciative for this award and I want to assure you that, Bashorun will continue to contribute his quota towards the development of the society”

The awardee donated a sum of one million naira for the development of the ICT centre for the  School of Business studies.

In attendance at the award ceremony were, members of the Ado Heritage led by their Coordinator, Otunba Demola Ayoola and other dignitaries.
