The Yoruba traditionalist in Brazil, Yeye Renata de Oxum has condemned the religious tactics adopted by the political class in Nígeria.
The Olorisa said It is strange that a country like Nígeria, blessed with all Irunmoles has denied the existence of Orisa religion in the public , it has chosen Islam and Christianity as important in Nígeria than Isese , the Yoruba traditional religion .
According to her, it is sad that these politicians that defends Islam and Christianity in the public are all Orisa traditionalists in the hidden, they clamor for Muslim Muslim and Muslim Christian tickets in the public but are all Orisa worshippers in the hidden.
She insists that Nígeria is a multi-religious society , and such manner of selecting candidates is uncalled for ,” it will place traditional religion as inferior to Islam and Christianity” she said
Attending to Ancestrals.com.ng , the Candomblé traditionalist said that Nígeria will not get it right untill they appease the ancestors “ It is not right that Nígeria, a nation that should be the Mecca of Isese can still not publicly accept the traditional religion , that is very sad , the Gods are watching you , they will fight their cause “ She said
The Brazilian , who has been to Nígeria several times , said Isese is even more alive in Brazil than Nígeria, she said Brazil respects Isese better than Nígeria where it came from.
“It is obvious that these politicians do consult Babalawos before embarking on their political journey , but they present themselves as Muslims and Christians publicly , they deny their ancestors ” She said furiously.
“Let them swear-in elected leaders with Sango , Ogun ,you will see how things will change for good in Nigeria ,many run from these gods because of their fraudulent characters , they are afraid of instant judgement from the Gods , so they prefer foreign religion ”Iyalorisa said
The traditionalist further asked if it’s a sin for Bàbálórìsàs to rule Nígeria , she warned against religious intolerance in the country , ” The muslim christian and muslim muslim is fraudulent “ she concluded .
