All public secondary Schools in Ekiti State are set for more renovation ahead of resumption by the Ekiti state government to further create conducive learning environment and promote excellent performance among students.
Former Special Assistant on media to the Governor, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotosho announced this while featuring alongside former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs , Chief Niyi Ojo, on SETIGBO ,a radio program aired simultaneously on six FM stations across the state .
Mrs Oso-Omotosho noted that the renovation was one of the components of the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project , a World Bank assisted project facilitated by Ekiti state government through the office of the First Lady to enhance learning opportunities for girls and keep them safe in schools .
She said the Ekiti AGILE project will also include empowering adolescent school girls with useful skills that could help them transit to adulthood successfully ,training them how to use digital mobile devices as well as provision of learning materials and many other benefits.
Meanwhile, Mrs Oso- Omotosho described as untrue , the allegation in some quarters that the state Government was being laccadesical about security issue stating that any measure or strategy being put in place by security operatives to curb the manace of kidnapping in the state may not have been made public to avoid compromise .
On his part ,former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Chief Niyi Ojo appealed to traditional rulers ,religious and community leaders and other stakeholders at different grassroots areas to see security of lives and property in their areas as a collective responsibility advising that everyone should be pay attention to happenings in their immediate environment .
