The leadership and entire members of the Ekiti state chapter of the socio-political and cultural organization, Afenifere hereby congratulate Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.. BAO, and Princess Monisade Afuye on their election as governor and deputy governor respectively in the just concluded gubernatorial election in Ekiti state.
A statement signed by the Chairman, Elder Alade and the publicity secretary, Chief Biodun Akin-Fasae, also congratulate the governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi for his positive effort to break the jinx of none continuity of progressive administration in Ekiti since it was created.
Ekiti Afenifere also salute the doggedness and support of the wife of the governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi who mobilised the women for the successful outcome of the election.
The statement eulogised the minister of Industry Trade and Investment Otunba Niyi Adebayo for being the leading light in Ekiti.
Afenifere expressed gladness for the relative peaceful conduct of the election and praised the entire citizenry for their patriotism to play according to the rules of INEC.
It also praised all the stakeholders who made Ekiti a shinning example of good behavior, during and after the election.
According to the group, it is the hope and prayers that Ekiti shall continue to remain peaceful and united in unquantifiable progress.
