Less than one month to the 2022 Governorship Election in Ekiti State, all parties have fielded their candidates and running mates in fulfillment of the 2022 Electoral Act.
Permit me to evaluate the chances of the leading party and its candidate in the state. To be candid, only one party is rooted in our dear state, which is the All Progressive Congress (APC). It is a tested and trusted political party in the state.
Majority of people of Ekiti state, both home and abroad, see the APC as a party that has the interest of our people at heart and their ideology has helped citizens of the state in the area of educations, health, good road network, social amenities and human development. APC has done tremendously well in the state and that’s why 75% of people of the state believe in its good governance
It has good records to show for its existence in the state since 1999. It is the only party that has respect for traditional institutions, strong academic environment, promotion of welfare of workers and citizens of Ekiti State. The APC stands tall and it is the party to “BEAT”.
In the last few weeks, APC has been receiving thousands of defectors from the SDP, ADP and PDP into its fold. It shows that our people have seen the light and prefer the party to sustain the agenda. The party always showcases and presents its best for any election in the state.
For the June 18 Governorship election, APC submitted its best materials for the Governorship and Deputy Governorship slots. They are Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye for election.
Meanwhile, APC leadership were involved in meetings for months, deliberating on whom to field for the Governorship race, before finally arriving at the duo of BIODUN ABAYOMI OYEBANJI and MONISADE CHRISTIANAH AFUYE.
Party leaders and members applauded their nominations as a perfect combination and a decision ordained by God to govern Ekiti state. Their victory is very sure and sacrosanct on June 18.
I, OJA1, strongly believe that “The Ekiti Leaders” will never REGRET or be DISAPPOINTED by Abiodun Oyebanji’s administration, because his loyalty, faithfulness, obedience and consultation will remain 100% to the Oracle and the leadership of the party.
The APC governorship Candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, popularly known as BAO, is an astute administrator, energetic and healthy person, bold brilliant and highly experienced and exposed to drive business of governance in a superb manner. BAO has the political will and connection that can make him relate well with people at the grassroot. He knows and understands the nitty-gritty of good governance. He knows the Map of Ekiti State like the palm of his hand.
BAO mixes with party members across the state and encourages and builds people. He pays hospital bills of sick people, as well as school fees of some Ekiti students. BAO cares for the less-privileged and empowers businessmen and women in the state.
During the days of BAO as the SSG in Dr. Kayode Fayemi’s administration, he is the most talked about among political appointees, even among the cabinet members. This is because he is accessible to his colleagues and party members. BAO is also a person with good listening ear, who gives necessary support to party members across the state. He is very responsive (he never jokes with communication, as he picks people calls and respond to text messages).
June 18, 2022 is knocking at the door. We shall all shout “Victory”!
