Beyond political party, religion and ethnic affiliations, our nation needs a President who has all round picture of what this Nigeria is all about in terms of past experiences, her present status and what the future holds; this is exactly what Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, CON, the Executive Governor of Ekiti State and Chairman Nigeria Governor’s Forum represents with proven facts and figures which makes him the best and so, the most preferred among other Presidential aspirants.

ATTAINMENT OF CIVIL RULE:
Fayemi was a central figure in resisting oppressive military rule in Nigeria in the early 1990s, he was on exile and his roles and sacrifices in the attainment of the civil rule cannot be downplayed or forgotten in a hurry.
INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS:
Dr. Fayemi holds a Masters degree in International Relations. He served as a Journalist, Researcher, Technical and Strategy Development Adviser in Nigeria, ECOWAS, Africa and the United Kingdom. Fayemi has served on the Board of numerous International Communities, United Nations and the NGO fraternity.
PEACE AND SECURITY:
Fayemi, an expert in War Studies, specialises in Civil -Military Relations where he bagged a PhD. He’s a Fellow of the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies and also an Adjunct Professor of Security Studies.
EDUCATION:
Dr. John Kayode Fayemi is a scholar and a former Students Union Leader. He was a Lecturer at Police College in Sokoto and has lectured in other Countries of Africa, Europe, the Americas and Asia.
GOVERNANCE:
A two term Governor of Ekiti State and Chairman Nigeria Governors Forum which he attained through consensus; JKF understands governance to the grassroot. As the Honourable Minister of Mines and Steel, a position that made him a member of Federal Executive Council, he led the repositioning of the mining industry to become a contributor to the diversification of Nigeria’s revenue base.
POLITICAL:
He became the Governor of Ekiti State in 2010 after a judicial battle that lasted three years to retrieve the mandate given to him by Ekiti people in 2007. He is a Thoroughbred Progressive having traversed from AD, AC, ACN and was one of the leading frontiers of the block of ACN that founded APC and became the Chairman of the first National Convention that produced President Muhammed Buhari as the candidate of APC in 2015 election. He later became Director of Policy Research and Strategy for the Presidential Campaign Council and was in the transition committee of President Goodluck Jonathan to President Buhari in 2015. He returned elected as Governor of Ekiti state in 2018 after defeating the incumbent PDP government in the state. He pioneered The Progressives Governor’s Forum.
PROGRAMMES:
He pioneered social investment programmes that were targeted at lifting the Aged and the vulnerable out of poverty, his quest to develop a new crop of youths is unquantifiable as he has the ultimate respect for Traditional Institutions. He, through the support of his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, enacted mental health law and gender composition law for women inclusion in politics and ending all forms of gender-based violence. He has provided several interventions on national issues.
Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, Ilufemiloye, Omoluabi is indeed the conscience of this nation, a man of peace too, little wonder he gave that concession speech despite the alternatives and capacity at his disposal to throw Ekiti State into tumor after the 2014 Gubernatorial Election that was later confessed to have involved mass oppression and rigging through the Sgt. Koli audio and video evidences. This was same pattern followed and deployed by Dr. Goodluck Jonathan after the 2015 Presidential Election.
Fayemi is more than capable by virtue of experience, leadership qualities and achievements to pilot the affairs of our nation at this crucial moment. He has no baggage, he enjoyed support from home and diaspora, he will be a most preferred Presidential candidate of APC that will unify all political interest, religious and ethnic groups to the victory of APC and prosperity of our Nation, Nigeria.
