Former President Goodluck Jonathan has rejected the APC Presidential Nomination Form bought on his behalf by a group of Fulani herdsmen known as Miyetti Allah.
This was made known through an official statement by his media aide, Ikechukwu Eze hours after the purported purchase of the forms went viral.
The former President’s aide said his boss was unaware of this action and did not approve of it.
“We wish to categorically state that Dr. Jonathan was not aware of this bid and did not authorize it”
He went further that, “We want to state that if the former President wanted to contest an election, he would make his intentions clear to the public and will not enter through the back door”
The former President appreciated the overwhelming request by a cross-section of Nigerians to make himself available for the 2023 Presidential election but stated that he has not anyway committed himself to this request.
