The Executive Chairman of Ado West LCDA, Hon. Taiwo Adeyemi Alagba has reacted to the emergence of Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as the APC flagbearer for the 2022 governorship election in Ekiti state.
In an interview with the correspondent of Heritagenewsng.com in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, Alagba described the process that produced Mr Oyebanji as the flagbearer of the party as credible.
“Without mincing word, our party’s candidate and the incoming Governor of Ekiti state by God’s grace emerged through a process that is free, fair and credible”
He furthered, “In my LCDA, the primary election went peacefully and the rules was followed to the letter”
The Chairman stated further that the direct primary election adopted by the party gave party members the opportunity to have a say in who that flies the flag of the party.
Hon. Alagba congratulated the APC party candidate, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and expressed optimism that the party would record total victory come June 18th governorship election.
“I want to use this medium to congratulate Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his victory at the just concluded primary election of our party”
“It is no doubt that our party would come out victorious at the upcoming governorship election because we have taken the right step by picking a man with good track record as our flagbearer”
Hon. Alagba called on other aspirants who lost to Mr Oyebanji to accept their defeat in good faith and work together with the party’s candidate.
“In a contest there is always a winner and looser. I want to urge other aspirants to embrace peace and all forms of reconciliation for the progress of our party”
