6 Months Scorecard: Ekiti Sports Council Chairman Osetoba Hosts 2021 NYG Athletes, SWAN Rooundtable Wednesday

Following the return of Ekiti athletes from the 2021 National Youth Games in Ilorin, Kwara State where they won 13 medals and finished on the 16th position, the chairman, Ekiti State Sports Council, Hon. Mrs Olusola Osetoba says its imperative to celebrate the sports ambassadors.

Mrs Osetoba who officially assumed office as Sports Council chairman on April 26 said she would be celebrating the athletes tomorrow Wednesday October 27 which coincides with her 6 months in office.

The hosting of the athletes will begin at 10 o’clock in the morning as the Sports Council boss will lead the young  athletes to the Ministry of Youth & Sports where they will be recieved by the Commissioner, Hon.Micheal Awopetu.

Osetoba will return to the  Oluyemi Kayode stadium with the athletes where she will host and celebrate them at about 1pm.

During the event, the athletes are expected to wine and dine and also  share there experiences in Ilorin with the Sports Council boss while she will also share her joy and vision as Sports Council chairman with the athletes.

In the same vein, the Emure Ekiti born  Osetoba will be the guest of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria-SWAN, Ekiti  State Chapter same day  at the SWAN ROUNDTABLE.

The program which focuses on 6 months of Mrs Osetoba in office will be an avenue for her to share her experience, achievements, challenges and prospects with Sports journalists led by the SWAN chairman, Qozeem Oladapo while the pressmen from various media houses in the state will also be throwing questions bordering on the state of sports in the state to her.

Tomorrow’s edition of the SWAN ROUNDTABLE billed for the VIP stand, front of SWAN Press Gallery, Oluyemi Kayode stadium in Ado starting from 12 noon will also give both the Sports Council and SWAN the opportunity to solidify the synergy and partnership between them towards ensuring a better Sports ecosystem in Ekiti state.
