FG Approves Reconstruction of Ado-Ekiti, Ijan Road

The Federal Government has approved the reconstruction of 8- kilometers Ado Ekiti Ijan Road to enhance connectivity and improve transmission within Ekiti State.

The Commissioner for Work, Sola Adebayo disclosed this during a Stakeholder’s meeting held in his Office in Ado Ekiti.

Mr Adebayo noted that the road, a critical link between Ekiti State and other parts of the Country, had been prioritized for the reconciliation in facilitating economic activities and easing the movement of goods and services.

The Federal Government’s approval is a testament to its commitment to infrastructure development. Once completed, the reconstructed road will not only improve safety for commuters but also boost socio-economic activities in the Region Commissoner said.

He assured stakeholders that the project would commence before end of the year at Ijigbo in Ado Ekiti.

Mr Adebayo emphasizing the State Government’s commitment to collaborate with the Federal Government to ensure timely and quality execution of the project.

In his remarks The Federal Controller of Works in Ekiti State,Engr Wasu Owolabi, has urged the members of the public to cooperate with the Construction Company handling the 8- kilometres Ado Ekiti Ijan Road.

Engr Owolabi noted that the cooperation of residents, commuters and other Stakeholders is essential.

He appealed to everyone to provide an enabling environment for the contractors by avoiding disruption, respecting safety measures and adhering to traffic guidelines during the reconstruction period.

The Federal Controller of Works in the State assured the public that the project would be executed with highest standards of quality and efficiency, promising a road that will meet modern specification upon completion.

Also speaking during the meeting Prof,Engr Adeyinka Adeoye, Director of Projects and Physical Plan, Afe Babalola University, Ado- Ekiti thanked the Federal and State Governments for the commitment to improving infrastructure in Ekiti State, reiterating the importance of the good road network in boosting economic activities and improving transportation in the State.

Also present in the stakeholders meeting are Director General, Home Intelligence, Mr. Dotun Adetoberu, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Mr Ganiyu Titilope Ibrahim, Director, Civil Engineering in the Ministry, Engr. Bamidele Oke and other top Government Officers from both the Federal and State levels, Repsentative of Federal Poly Ado Ekiti, Landlord Association members in the Area, NURTW, Okada Riders Association.
