BREAKING:Gunmen Abducts Niger State Information Commissioner

Heritagenewsng reports that the Niger State Information Commissioner, Mohammed Sani Idris has been abducted.

Mary Noel-Berje, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Sani Bello issued a statement confirming this on Monday morning.

She said Idris was taken at about 1am from his home at Baban Tunga village in Tafa Local Government Area.

The spokesperson added that said security agencies are on the trail of the assailants.

Last week in Zamfara, bandits kidnapped the father of House of Assembly Speaker, Nasiru Muazu Magarya.

The lawmaker represents Zurmi East in the state legislature.

The criminals also abducted his stepmother, uncle and four others when they stormed Magarya village in Zurmi Local Government Area.
