A group consisting of leaders and members of Labour Party, LP in the six States of Southwest under the platform, Aggrieved Labour Party of Southwest has sent a congratulatory message to the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN on his appointment as Chairman of TINUBU/SHETTIMA 2023 Presidential Campaign in the Southwestern region.
The group affirmed it readiness to work with the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Campaign team to ensure that the former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu win the 2023 Presidential Election and sworn in as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come May 29, 2023.
In it congratulatory message to the newly appointed chairman and signed by the group national coordinator, Engr. Banji Omotoso, said the appointment of Governor Akeredolu to lead the campaign trail of APC in the Southwest “is strategically driven and high powered political mercenary to harvest all available votes in the region on February 25, 2023.
“Your Excellency, we as leaders and members of Labour Party in the Southwest are pledging our support for you on this your new assignment to make it a success story.
“Home is home. We have no other place than Yoruba land, so our first priority as political leaders is to support our son, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential ambition and help him to achieve it by electing him the next President.
“The leadership of Labour Party in the entire Southwest region is not happy with the national chairman of the part, Abure on the role he played in the emergency of Peter Obi as Presidential candidate of LP. In this regard, we have decided to disgrace Obi and Abure in the Southwest by making the region a no go area for Labour Party.
“We strongly believe that with Your Excellency as the head of the campaign structure in the Southwest, you are coming with all attributes of a highly respected Yoruba Son; bold, brain, brave with strong determination for better and committed Southern Presidency in 2023.” Omotoso stated.
The Aggrieved Labiur Party of Southwest, however assured Governor Akeredoku of it membership total commitment to the success of APC Presidential candidate and his runningmate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alhaji Kashim Settima in the region and nationwide come February 25, 2023 Presidential Election.
