2023: FAYOSE Joins Tinubu Presidential Project, Receives 20 Million Naira For Swaga Ekiti Launch

A former governor of Ekiti state, Mr Ayo Fayose, has officially joined the 2023 presidential project of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

APC Chieftain Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was lampooned by the President, Muhammadu Buhari, last week when he said that “nobody can sit in Lagos and determine who would be he next president” which openly triggered a silent war that has been on going on for a while is bent on fighting hard for the number one position he believed in.

Sources close to Tinubu who were visibly angry said Tinubu refused to honour the President when he came to Lagos to commission some projects to show he is not a baby politician has already remapped plans to actualize his presidential ambition.

Number one on his plan to counter whatever the presidency has in stock is to formally get the former governor of Ekiti state, Mr Ayodele fayose who he sees as a critical voice that can help push his ambition.

The multiple sources said Mr Fayose choice was based on his constant criticism of the Buhari led government and they see him as one who already have started campaigning for a southerm president and his open praises for Tinubu is another point of interest.

Mr Fayose has been mobilized with 20 million naira to make sure SWAGA Ekiti launch is successful as he was also to market Tinubu as the only person with the clout to win from the South West. He promised to use all within his powers to make sure that Ekiti is delivered to Asiwaju Tinubu. He has already created a private WhatsApp group where top politicians loyal to the course are already added.

The challenges are how to reconcile the former governor and a former minister, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, who is presently the face of the presidential team and also how party interests won’t clash when the real politicking starts. It was agreed that a meeting would be held before the end of the month at Abuja where both parties would be reconciled.

Mr Tinubu ambition has been gaining momentum over the months was watered down when the President laughed off godfatherism in the interview he has with Arise TV.

Mr Fayose who has always been a beneficiary of the largesse of the Lagos state strong man and two term governor, is expected to join forces with Senator Adeyeye to weaken and destabilize Fayemi’s structure in Ekiti so that Tinubu camp would be able to dictate the happenings in the state in 2023.

SWAGA launch, scheduled for Tuesday, is already causing momentum as Tinubu already believed that with Fayose on the same page with him, Ekiti is a done deal.
