Now that the race for the National Assembly seats has gradually began, various interests have been showing up.
Among them is the current House of Representatives Member representing Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Hon. Fatoba Olusola Steve who is seeking re-election for the second term.
While it is a constitutional provision for any elected person to seek for re-election it is also incumbent on the electorates to access the performance of such elected office holder whether he or she has done well to be given another chance.
It is a statement of fact that, Hon. Fatoba has within a space of three years as Reps. Member been able to justify the massive votes given to him by his constituents with attraction of impactful capital projects to his constituency. A paradigm shift from the type of representation we used to have before.
He has proven himself as a man that can be trusted with his word.
One big question that we the electorates need to ask from those seeking our support for one position or the other is that, “What have you done to benefit the people with the position entrusted you?”
This is no time of making sweet promises to garner support from the electorates. Your achievements and track record matters this time around.
To our eminent party leaders and members in Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun, let’s give Hon. Fatoba another chance to attract more developmental projects to our constituency. As we used to say, one good term deserves another.
