2023: Atiku’s Campaign Vehicle Still Running On Tinubu’s Fuel

2023: Atiku’s Campaign Vehicle Still Running On Tinubu’s Fuel

We have said it before, and it bears repeating again, that the Atiku/Okowa ticket has absolutely nothing to offer Nigerians as to how the country can be repositioned to achieve its manifest economic prosperity, socio-ethnic cohesion and security guarantee among the many objectives that has been enunciated by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his campaign outings.

The mouthpiece of the ticket, the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign organization through its spokesperson Kola Ologbondiyan, has once again demonstrated its reactionary posture, comical peregrination and vacuous disposition in its latest press statement on the APC campaign flag off in Adamawa State where President Muhamadu Buhari was the cynosure of all eyes.

Perhaps Ologbondiyan’s eye glasses have become so irreparably fuzzy to have described Buhari’s presence in the Adamawa campaign on Monday as a “snub” of Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate and that the president “declined to speak directly in favour of Asiwaju.”

It’s not entirely surprising that Ologbondiyan would shift the goal post, once again, now that President Buhari has proven the naysayers wrong with his appearance at APC campaigns.

And here’s why?

First they said Buhari backed someone else against Asiwaju for APC ticket but Asiwaju won with Buhari’s support.

Then they said Buhari won’t support Asiwaju but Buhari launched Asiwaju’s manifesto right in the presidential Villa.

Then they said Buhari won’t campaign for Asiwaju. Ologbondiyan’s principal’s blood pressure rose that he had to go take a rest in Dubai when the president’s campaign itinerary was announced.

Then they said Buhari won’t attend Asiwaju’s rallies but he attended the flag off in Jos and then Yola where he raised the APC presidential candidate’s hand.

Now they are saying he didn’t say vote for Asiwaju. For crying out loud, why then did the president raise Asiwaju’s hand?

The Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign organization, through its spokesperson, should continue to provide the Nigerian public with comic relief while the Tinubu-Shettima ticket sprints into the finishing line with assured victory on election day.

Tinubu-Shettima campaign will continue to provide them with the fuel to keep their already comatose campaign alive. That’s the least the campaign can do for an opponent who’s presidential bid is already dead on arrival.

Let them continue to indulge in delusional denial.
