Dear Constituents and friends,

As we embark on the promising journey of 2025, I wish to take a moment to reflect on our collective efforts during the festive season of December 2024, a period marked by compassion, empowerment, and unwavering commitment to our community.

During this special time, I had the privilege of engaging with various groups across Ikole Constituency II, including drivers, teachers, women’s organizations, and party faithful. I dedicated three days to spreading Christmas goodwill, sharing resources and joy with my great people. The smiles and gratitude I witnessed were a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we come together in support of one another.

In a continued effort to empower our youth, I facilitated the distribution of agricultural equipment to some youths and the young members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God folds. Their excitement and appreciation highlighted the importance of providing opportunities that enable them to thrive. This initiative, along with the empowerment event at Eereti Multipurpose Hall, Odo AyedunEkiti, allowed many of our constituents to receive essential tools and resources, reinforcing our commitment to agricultural development.

Earlier in December, we also reached out to another group drawn from communities within Ikole constituency II at the Owa of Odo Ayedun palace, ensuring that our support reached as many as possible. These initiatives are not just gestures; they are vital investments in the capabilities of our people, designed to foster growth and sustainable livelihoods.

In addition to these empowering actions, I prioritized addressing the immediate needs of our community. I swiftly moved to repair a borehole I had constructed years ago at Ere/Ipebi axis, ensuring access to clean water for our residents. Furthermore, I took decisive steps to restore power to areas affected by transformer vandalism.

This included procuring drums of transformer oil and funding the replacement of stolen cables. I am also pleased to report my efforts in facilitating the extension of power lines to both Ayeduns from Ikole Ekiti, leveraging the newly established Ijesa Isu substation, a significant achievement made possible under the leadership of our Governor, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. Our collective access to reliable electricity is critical, and I remain committed to ensuring that our communities benefit from this essential service.

In a notable legislative achievement, I presided over the passage of the 2025 Appropriation Bill, which was signed into law within record time. This appropriation is a cornerstone of our governance, providing the financial framework necessary for executing vital projects and services that directly impact our constituents.

It reflects our commitment to BEST IN CLASS FISCAL frameworks, ensuring transparency and accountability in managing public resources. The importance of this appropriation cannot be overstated; it lays the groundwork for our state’s development, driving progress and improving the quality of life for all residents.

As we move forward into 2025, I am inspired by the resilience and unity of our people. Together, we can continue to build on the progress we have made and strive for an even more fruitful year ahead. Your support is invaluable as we pursue our shared vision for a brighter future.

Thank you for your trust and partnership. Let us embrace the opportunities that lie ahead and work together to create lasting change in Ekiti State.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye
Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly
